Low quality fuels

A trend towards low-quality fuels?

Recently we attended a seminar for medium and small combustion plants in Norway, arranged by Nobio. Two of the main topics were the upcoming EU MCP (medium combustion plant) directive and a trend towards having to burn fuels of lower quality, the latter largely due to increased competition in purchasing biomass.

Both stress the need for a well-functioning process with both optimal combustion and the best possible fouling prevention. Together this gives a consistent condition for adequate dimensioned emission control, such as ESP or bag-filter.

Even though the directive and the fuel trend create a burden for the district heating producers, we are happy to see that this drives innovation and ambition to have the best available technology to cope with these challenges. In a time where district heating role as a sustainable and efficient way for heat production is more important than ever, we look forward to with our unique know-how and technology in fouling prevention, create value by optimizing your boiler!

Our low-frequency acoustic cleaning is the best solution for keeping the tubes free from fouling and slagging

For smoke tube boilers, our low-frequency acoustic cleaning is the best solution for keeping the tubes free from fouling and slagging. One infrasound cleaner reaches throughout all the smoke tubes, providing a greater tolerance for fluctuating fuel quality and allowing for a stable operating season.
