Mackenzie Pulp Mill Corporation in Canada orders a sonic cleaning system for an ESP

The ESP is installed after a black liquor recovery boiler, manufactured by Babcock & Wilcox. The currently production is 3.100,000lbs BLDS per day and the Mills target is to increase production to 3.400,000lbs BLDS per day.

The main challenge is soot build-up in the ladder vanes of the inlet duct to the Research Cottrell precipitator. The purpose of Infrafone’s installation is to keep this area clean in order to increase boiler availability.

The system will be installed and commissioned in October 2011.
